Quality windows systems

FALCON 2000

From the mid seventeenth century to the turn of the twentieth century, most buildings in major UK towns and cities incorporated traditional box sliding sash windows. These windows had a poor insulation rating, however, and were both draughty and prone to problems. Windows in other materials are generally inappropriate and do not match the general detailing of the traditional window. In many cases, they are a crude parody.

The Falcon 2000 Window System

Guarding the Nations Heritage
Quality windows - guarding the Nation's heritageAn understanding of the importance of the traditional sliding sash window has led Swift Joinery Manufacturers Limited to design and produce the Falcon 2000 range. This window retains the general appearance of the box sliding sash window but incorporates modern technology with high quality draught seals and a removable parting bead for ease of on-site painting. The Falcon 2000 range also offers the option of having pre-tensioned springs made to suit each window (requiring no on-site adjustment) or using the traditional box and weight system.

Falcon 2000 windows are fully factory glazed, with up to 20mm double-glazing with a ventilated bottom bead. An inward tilting facility on the bottom sliding sash (to make cleaning easier) is just one of the options available on this innovative window which retains the charm of a bygone era, and respects a building’s character, yet offers the quality and performance demanded by today’s architects and specifiers.

HAWK 2000

The Swift 2000 range offers the ultimate in security, quality and appearance, further enhanced by a full B.F.R.C Energy rating of C and the use of P.E.F.C certified engineered laminated timber with full chain of custody as standard this makes this range of windows the obvious choice to achieve a greener environment.

The Specifiers Choice

Swift's windows are the specifier's choice

The Swift Falcon also incorporates a unique ventilated bottom bead and glazing system giving the double glazed units the ability to give optimum performance under all weather conditions
Our computer system enables us to manufacture to the same high specification for one-off specials as we do for long production runs in a variety of sizes.

Kite 2000 for Upper Floors

The Kite 2000 Window System

This window is offered to complement the Swift Falcon and is intended for upper floors and areas not requiring BS7950. Matching in every detail, and U.K.A.S tested to BS644 these windows are fitted with restricted friction hinges for safety and with a espagnollette shoot bolt and push button key-locking handles. Both the Swift and the Kite window are available with Egress hinges, which enable the window to conform to fire regulations for ease of escape.

Both ranges are accredited to the B.M.Trada Q Mark scheme.

Approved by Lead Housing Associations
The Hawk 2000 range conforms to the latest building regulations and N.H.B.C. requirements, and has been used by numerous housing associations and local authorities within the UK.

KESTREL 2000

The Kestrel 2000 Window System

Applications
Kestrel 2000 is a superb, top turn, fully-reversible window, operating through 180 degrees, which can be locked in the reverse position for safe cleaning of the glass. When the window is being reversed, it does not protrude into the room, and so does not disturb window drapes or ornaments. Again using P.E.F.C engineered defect free laminated timber and with a B.F.R.C energy rating of C as standard coupled with a U.K.A.S test to BS7950/644 and the manufacturers paint guarantee this window is a durable alternative to the standard casement.

The Heights of Excellence
Swift windows achieve heights of excellenceOwing to its robust design, the Kestrel is ideally suited for high rise applications, where external access is difficult. An added safety feature is an automatically operated restrictor, which engages to prevent the window being opened above 100mm.
